A simple daily practice to calm the mind and awaken inner energy

Many people think yoga and meditation are complicated.

But the truth is:

The most powerful practices are often the simplest.

This beginner morning yoga and meditation routine is designed for people with zero experience. It takes only a few minutes, requires no flexibility, and gently prepares your body and mind for the day.

If practiced daily, it can lead to deep calmness, mental clarity, and natural meditation.

Step 1: Prepare the Body First

When you wake up:

• drink a glass of water
• go to the toilet
• clear the lower colon
• wash your face if needed

This step is important.

A clean and empty body makes sitting comfortable. There is no heaviness, no stomach disturbance. Energy can flow freely.

In yoga, physical cleansing supports mental clarity.

Step 2: Sit Quietly

Sit in a comfortable position:

• cross-legged on the floor
• on a cushion
• or on a chair with feet grounded

Keep your spine relaxed but upright.

Close your eyes softly.

Allow the body to settle.

Do not rush.

This moment of stillness is the doorway to meditation.

Step 3: 3 Minutes of Long Deep Breathing

Begin slow, long breathing through the nose.

• inhale deeply
• exhale slowly
• make the breath smooth and relaxed

Do this for 3 minutes.

Feel the lungs expanding.
Feel the body softening.

Each exhale releases tension.
Each inhale brings fresh energy.

This activates the relaxation response of the nervous system.

Step 4: Nose Inhale, Mouth Exhale

Now change the breathing pattern:

  • inhale through the nose
  • exhale through the mouth

You may increase the rhythm slightly if comfortable.

Do this for 3–4 minutes.

This breathing helps release emotional tension and clears stagnant energy. You may feel warmth, tingling, or lightness in the body.

All sensations are natural.

Just allow them.

Step 5: Breath Hold & Inner Awareness

Now take one deep inhale.

Exhale more than half.

Gently hold the breath.

Relax your belly.
Relax your hands.
Relax the entire body.

Do not force anything.

While holding:

• feel sensations inside the body
• notice subtle energy (prana)
• observe the quiet mind
• feel the silence growing

Let the body become effortless.

It may feel like dissolving into space.
This is a natural doorway into meditation.

When the body needs air, breathe normally again.

Repeat a few gentle cycles without strain.

Entering the Meditative State

If you practice this simple technique for a few days, something beautiful begins to happen:

• the mind becomes quiet
• the body feels light
• thoughts slow down
• deep calm appears naturally

This is not forced meditation.

This is meditation happening by itself.

A surrender state.

A state of deep rest and awareness.

Step 6: Child Pose — Bow to the Earth

Finish the practice in child’s pose:

Kneel down.
Fold forward.
Rest your forehead on the ground.

Bow gently to Mother Earth.

Stay for 2 minutes.

Feel gratitude.
Feel grounding.
Feel humility.

This posture seals the practice and stabilizes the energy.

Carry the Calm Into Your Day

When you stand up:

Move slowly.

Carry the silence.
Carry the softness.
Carry the awareness.

Let your actions come from calmness, not rush.

This is how yoga enters daily life.

Tips for Beginners

  • Ppractice on an empty stomach
  • Morning is best, before phone or talking
